About the festival

Taking place in the Mediterranean town of Sète in the South of France, Fiest'A Sète is a world music festival that takes place over two weeks in late July into early August.

The festival formed 24 years ago with the idea of discovering new musical sub-genres from across the globe including Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean. It has since grown into a huge celebration welcoming over 30,000 attendees and more than 250 talented musicians from around the world.

The quaint, warm settings of Mediterranean town Sète is the perfect location for such an affair with unique venues such as the stunning water-side Théâtre de la Mer being utilised.

On top of an expansive music programme there will be discussions, cinema sessions, children and teen workshops and a kaleidoscopic mix of world cuisine.
