About the festival
Mad Cool Festival is a huge Spanish rock, indie and pop music festival, held each summer in the country's sunny capital Madrid. Now one of Europe's most popular music festivals, Mad Cool attracts thousands of music fans from far and wide thanks to its incredible lineups that have in the past featured the Arctic Monkeys, The Cure, Pearl Jam and Tame Impala.
2021 will see Mad Cool celebrate its eagerly anticipated fifth anniversary as it expands to four days in July 2021, once again curating a lineup that'll bring an enviable group of international superstars to Madrid. But while rock giants may headline the main stage, indie and pop favourites are in abundance elsewhere, and a selection of electronic music's hottest acts can also be found.
Having consistently grown in scale – be it the performers, crowds, or production – Mad Cool has quickly found its place among the continent's elite, despite only hosting the first edition in 2016. It now gives well over 100,000 music fans the chance to soak up the Spanish sun and witness their musical heroes doing what they do best.
