About the festival

Founded in April 1970, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival is held in Louisiana's largest city. New Orleans is known globally for its vibrant music scene and around the clock night life, it's only fitting that it's home to one of the longest running music festivals there is.

After celebrating their fiftieth anniversary in 2019, Jazz Fest is showing no signs of slowing down, adding an extra day to the festivities, making it eight days in total.

Welcoming around 500,000 fans each year, the festival is a celebration of Louisiana's music and culture, spread out across fourteen tents and stages.

Every year Jazz Fest hosts some of the most influential artists of the last half century to step out onto the legendary main stage.
