About the festival

Australia’s first music festival blending the intersecting rhythms of Afrobeats, Amapiano, Reggae, and R&B, raring to go in October 2023 as it graces the sunny Gold Coast with the summer season in sight.

Promiseland Festival is a multi-genre live music experience showcasing the culturally diverse, invigorating and effervescent sounds of multiple continents – genres and subcultures of music that has gained unparalleled popularity across the Australian and global music scenes in the last decade as numerous internationally-renowned artists tap into its unique sounds.

For two days in October, Promiseland will take over Doug Jennings Park, bringing a series of vivacious live performances across Afrobeats, Amapiano, Reggae and R&B, and an unforgettable celebration of the rich cultures that come with them.

After a successful debut run, Promiseland will boast an even bigger line-up of international and homegrown artists for 2023. A growing platform for multicultural tunes, the festival will also set the pace for new cultural stars to emerge. Promiseland’s mission is simple: let these diverse voices unite everyone as one with music and drop refreshing rhythms that you can’t help but dance to, because it is in our cultural differences that we find our strengths.

Our 2022 run and its corresponding recap video is a potent indication of our mission coming to fruition. Promiseland is not just about the music. Beyond the all-star artists and DJs, elsewhere on the grounds, the scenic park setting will be transformed to deliver an immersive experience with a spirited collective ambiance. This will feature a luxury VIP area where revellers can interact and gain access to premium viewing so they don’t miss a beat. Then there’s our Promise Village, a party haven outside of the main stage boasting an innovative stage showcasing our country’s best DJs, MCs, and artists. To top this off, the village will be a sunny paradise filled with markets, stalls, lounges, and engaging brand activations extending our multi-culture driven mission.

The first of its kind, Promiseland will continue to revolutionise Australia’s festival calendar. So mark your calendars, call your crew, throw on your best threads – Promiseland is going to be much more than a music festival. It’s an open space of acceptance that is fast becoming a movement, one that is sure to transcend cultural boundaries.
