About the festival

Rock am Ring, held in Germany's Nürburgring, is one of the biggest and widely renowned rock music festivals in Europe, if not the entire world.

Throughout its 35-year tenure as the most majestic affair in the rock music calendar, rock music royalty like David Bowie, U2, Metallica, Radiohead, Pearl Jam, and Iron Maiden have all sat on Rock am Ring's Center Stage throne (now known as the Volcano Stage), with Slipknot, Die Ärzte, and Tool joining the rock 'n' roll pantheon by headlining in 2019.

Along with sibling festival Rock im Park that takes place concurrently, the festival casts it's net wide with prestigious rock, metal, and punk artists, as well as a smattering of more alternative musicians on the roster across multiple stages.

Over 150,000 amped-up rockers and headbangers make the pilgrimage to Nürburgring each and every year, proving that it's one to tick off the bucket list for the rock 'n' roll die-hards.
