About the festival

Roots Picnic is a hip-hop and R&B music festival in Philadelphia. Started in 2008, the festival was founded by hometown heroes The Roots as a means to say thank you to the city they hold so dear.

Since its inception the festival has become a staple of the city's annual calendar, showcasing lineups of musical legends, special one-off performances, and even guest appearances from some of the most influential people of today.

More than just a music festival, Roots Picnic is also a hub for gaming, visual arts, and topical discussions effecting black culture and beyond.

Not sure what to take with you on your tour to the festival in order to have a good rest?
