There is such a national Scandinavian fun: ferry rock cruises. Simply put - live concerts on one of the decks that take place right during your stay on the high seas! Solid romance! Especially if you are going to a Ville Valo concert! Especially if it's a 3 day tour with ferry and bus travel!
We did not expect another audience: the conqueror of women's hearts in the 00s collected a whole bus of beauties who went from St. Petersburg to Finland for the sake of a solo project by Ville and The Agents!
Whoa whoa! There were boys too, of course! They just got lost in a sea of beautiful ladies who all the way indulged in nostalgia for the times when they cut out pictures of Valo from magazines and pasted them into albums, hung HIM posters on the walls and ran to the nearest music store for new albums of Finnish rockers. There was such a time. There was even good MTV back then, but that's not the point now.
Turku is the western capital, the oldest city in Finland. We got there for 9 hours, and we still had free time before the ferry, which we spent on a photo session near the cathedral (true gothic!), gatherings in a coffee shop and trying light shopping. The center of Turku is very picturesque even at this time of the year, when the northern spring is not in a hurry to remind you of itself. We decided that it was all because of the picturesque embankment and countless cozy restaurants with panoramic windows and cozy lighting, as well as the abundance of old buildings. Everything was very conducive to communication - it is not for nothing that Turku constantly gets into the ratings of cities with the happiest population!
A little later we arrived at the ferry terminal, waited a very long time for boarding, got tired ... But when we had already laid out our things in the cabins, we realized that the long-awaited concert would begin very soon - at midnight. And before that there is time for gastronomic pleasures: Dyuti Free and the Buffet (which, by the way, many have booked with us in advance)
As for the Ville Valo & The Agents concert itself, everything was intimate, professional and very atmospheric! Everyone was waiting, of course, for "something from HIM" and finally they did! When Love And Death Embrace was the real icing on the gourmet cake, and then the audience could not recover at the retro disco until the very morning!
The main concert program also consisted of compositions in Finnish, which the audience picked up with pleasure. And we felt out of place. But this did not spoil the impressions, because. Mr. Valo was in excellent vocal form. Although he looked a little tired. The concert hall itself accommodated several hundred people on the dance floor and the same number at the tables located on two floors along the perimeter. You could order any drink at the bar and sip it comfortably with friends on soft sofas or hang out in front of the stage. The atmosphere is what you need! And yes, the sound is awesome. What else do you need?
The next day, we got no less wonderful emotions, sitting in a cozy bar with a friendly company, bawling popular rock hits to the accompaniment of a cover artist, who superbly amused the audience, who were trying with all their might to overcome a hangover. Having taken some memorable photos on the sunny deck, we began to expect our arrival in Turku, after which we immediately transferred to a warm bus and set ourselves up for a night journey. They saved themselves with what they could: downloaded films, TV shows, music, inflatable pillows and light blankets - everything that made the bus night as comfortable as possible.
Arriving in St. Petersburg early in the morning, we realized that it was very sad to part. And some of us decided to liven up with coffee in the nearest cozy cafe on Nevsky, in anticipation of the opening of the metro. Practice shows that if a tour lasts several days, it actively brings all the guys together. And getting off the bus is very sad to just turn around and leave. Therefore, the cases "let's get together ..." or "let's go and sit ..." are not rare!
